Hello,
After triple bypass the smoking does have deleterious effect on the graft.As per research quitting smoking adds about 3.5 yrs to the life.The overall survival without smoking is 20 yrs while with smoking it is about 17 yrs.
The 10,20 & 30 yr survival were 88%,49% & 19% in those who quit smoking while it is 77%,36% & 11% respectively who continued smoking.
