Hi, I had surgery for a breast growth about three months ago - I am getting my period on time as usual, but only for about 4 or five days (before it was usually 6 days). Can anesthesia slow up your menstrual cycle and how many months does it take to get back to normal?

Greetings.
Anesthesia (which are medications), stress of any kind (physical due to the surgical procedure and mental /psychological) can affect the hormones of the body and can change the period and can be responsible for this variation. There is no set rule of time frame of this going back to previous way as individuals respond differently to these. This can occur just in 1-3 months and sometimes can take longer.
