I awoke to go to the bathroom. Took my bp and it waas 121/101 pulse 110and I have been burping a lot which doesn't seem to give any relief as I am not in pain and don't have chest pressure. I am concerned about the hi pulse. I retook bp just now and it is 100/72 pulse 95 burping seems to be slowing down. I take warfarin dailey, also crestor 5mg 1/day and sotolol 80 mg 2x day I don't know when to worry about hi numbers in my bp, only the low ones.

Hello, Can I ask what made you take your BP when you woke up? What was the local time where you are?
How long did you sit down before you took it?
How long before it dropped to 100/75?
I took it because I had this burping thing and it was weird for me so I felt to see if I had a regular pulse. It was fast so I took bp to see what it was. I had a-fib earlier this March which is resolved. I did sit down about 30 min to take it and it was about 3:15 am I'm in Florida. It went down after about 2 hours. and I just took it now and it is 100/68 pulse 84
An isolated rise in blood pressure is not something that I would be too concerned about as physiological responses do cause fluctuations. Your systolic blood pressure now at 100 is actually verging on low and if it got any lower then I might expect you to feel lightheaded.
Burping can suggest excess stomach acid, and this is something that can be looked at. peppermint tea can be very good for this symptom however if there is associated nausea, stomach pain or heartburn then we think about adding in something to reduce acid production.
If your lower figure (diastolic) was over 100 for a period of time and pulse was also over 100 for the same time then I would consider an urgent review at that point, but occasional increases due to activity or stress are a natural way of improving circulation around the body to meet extra demands such as climbing stairs.
Well since I was in bed and not doing anything when the diastolic and the pulse were the highest...I wasn't doing an activity or in stress so it doesn't make sense to me. Can the burping be heart related? It didn't make me feel better to burb like it does if you have acid indigestion. It was kind of like I had to do it and now that the heart rate has slowed, the burping is gone.
Did you take your blood pressure before going to the bathroom?
Did your pulse feel regular?
No I took it after I went to the bathroom. Then I sat and felt my pulse which felt regular
Then I would not worry too much about this at the moment. Your pulse was regular so you did not have an episode of AF.
However your body had just gone through a physiological change from sleeping state (reduced pulse/respiration rate and blood pressure) to a vertical stance where you moved to the bathroom. The body would 'upregulate' in order to provide your muscles with the correct oxygen to undertake the activity. This would naturally result in increased blood pressure and heart rate for most people, although we tend not to measure in these circumstances.
I would suggest that you request a 24 hour Ambulatory Blood pressure/ECG study from your doctor. This will chart your highs and lows over a 24 hour period with your activities and allow your doctor to see if your medication is at the correct level to balance your BP over the day.
