i had a chest ct and the nurse called and said they saw three nodules on my chest not my heart. What does this mean and am i in any serious health situation?
Well, nodules in the lung are fairly non specific.

It could be small areas of the lung that may have small areas of inflammation, such as from areas of infection in the past.

However, as with all nodules, the doctors want to make sure this is not something concerning, such as tumor, but those would tend to grow over time -- and thus would be larger on the followup scan.

So, simply nodules in the lung are probably most likely benign areas of inflammation in the lungs from the past. Of course, having the doctor follow this up is important.
