Gender: FemaleAge: 68 Already Tried: Taking over the counter aleve for the pain. It puts me to sleep, the pain wakes me up all the time.
Is your right leg fine?Where exactly is the pain in the leg? The back? The front? Does it go into the calf, or the shin? The foot?
The whole leg hurts and the swelling is very large I have swelling in both legs, but the left one hurts the worst
How long have your legs been swollen?Do you have heart issues? Kidney issues?Have you had recent blood work done?
I have had three stines put in my heart last year. Then things were better. I am taking diaretic at night. I have had blood work done lately. I have had the swelling for some time. After the heart surguary the legs were better down they are worse.
OK.The first thing that you need to do is see your regular doctor or your cardiologist for an evaluation. The fact you are having more swelling in the legs, "edema", means your heart function may not be as optimal as it once was.The fact you are having more problems now with the legs means you should get this evaluated, and then possibly your doctors will be able to help reduce this swelling with medications.I would start with your regular doctor or your cardiologist.
