I have a 10 years old son. He has a lot of trouble in class. He couldn't stay focus on his lessons for he finds there are a million more interesting things to do rather than sit in class. And he always thinks about this while teachers are explaining the lessons. That why he can't catch up with other students in class and has difficulties with his home works. How can I help him? Many thanks!
Hi, Is he able to focus on activities at home? Does he runs, climbs or talks excessively? Does he gets along well with his friends or siblings?
No with the home work, but yes with the activities he loves. He talks a lot. He is active and often complains that he feels bored. He doesn't run or climb a lot but likes to ride bicycle.Quite difficult for him before, but now it is OK.Thanks
It appears that he is just a highly active child who is otherwise normal. Some kids are naturally like that. A detailed interview and examination by a pedicatrician would be helpful to rule out ADHD, however medical treatment may not be needed for him. Support and affection along with some behavioral techniques may be all that is needed.
