I have dry white bumps all over my lower legs. They started

Resolved Question:

I have dry white bumps all over my lower legs. They started appearing on my ankles and have now moved onto my feet and up my legs. I have tried to remove them using scrubbers, etc but to now avail. I keep my legs moisturied but these bumps are very noticable and I have been asked a lot what it is. I have been told that it is inherited from my mother and nothing can be done. I have used all of the recommended lotions. Can these be removed surgically using lasers?   I live most of the time in very warm climates and I have to wear pants to cover my legs. Thanks for your help

Hello.Welcome to Just Answer and thank you for your question.

If the bumps are like white heads at the root of hair follicles, these could be folliculitis. Using a topical antibiotic like bacitracin will take care of them. Steroid ointments like hydrocortisone 1% can also be helpful.

Do not try to squeeze the bumps as these would damage the skin.

Check this link to see if the bumps could be white heads.
