I'm experiencing low level pain/irritation in my side above my hip and below my ribs. The pain doesn't feel internal, but isn't on the skin. But it's sensitive to touch and a similar feeling is occurring on my abdomen as well. It kind of aches... not sharp pain, just kind of achy.
Gender: MaleAge: 33 Already Tried: Ibuprofin has helped to subside the irritation. I've had back problems in the past and noticed the pain in the last couple of days
Greetings.
Do you have any history of unaccustomed physical exertion?
Do you have nausea, bloating, constipation / diarrhea, urinary symptoms?
Does this achy feeling increases with the back movements or posture?
Dr. Arun
Thanks you,No history of unaccustomed physical exertion. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary physically.I don't have bloating, constipation, diarrhea or any urinary symptoms... I can't say that I have nausea either, however, I have felt like I was going to be sick—but only a little and the feeling passed quickly. The achy feeling does increase with some movement, when I stretch for instance or when I push on my side, at the bottom of my ribs.
Hello,
This is likely to be musculoskeletal, as you have a history of back pain, this is increased slightly by the movements and Ibuprofen helps in your pain. Warm shower with a relative rest and Ibuprofen three times a day, should be able to take care of it. This does not seems to be visceral (related to abdominal organs). But if you feel nauseous / sick, or pain increases in the severity, an evaluation by a physician would be prudent.
