Expert's Answer

Hello.

If you are diagnosed pre diabetic, it implies that you are prone to impaired glucose tolerence. this condition can easily be brought under control by diet restrictions and exercise.

Total cholesterol should ideally be less than 200. So your levels are quite ok., and your BP is just fine.
I would advise you to do fasting blood sugar and post prandial sugars every 2 months to assess glycemic control.

Expert's Answer

Fasting blood suger is a blood test done in empty stomach in the morning , post prandial is a blood sugar test done 2 hrs after meals.

These tests determine whether your sugar levels are within limits or not.

If you are prone to diabetis , you should get yourself tested every few months, so that, the physician can take action early , should your sugar levels cross limits.

Expert's Answer

If you have a first degree relative(parents /siblings) who is diabetic, then you are prone to get it.
even, otherwise, if you have an unhealthy lifestyle-like physical inactivity and routinely consuming high calories, you are prone to get it one day.

As I mentioned earlier, a pre diabetic can get back to a normal sugar status with balanced diet and exercise.
