The oxycodone controlled release tablet has the half life of 4.5 hours compared to 3.2 hours for immediate-release oxycodone.So it may take 16-24 hrs for the drug to be completely metabolise the body.

I need clearity to the question I asked initially.
I will make it more clear and simplified for you.
The various drugs are metabolised in the body by the liver, kidney, etc. and excreted out of the body.The excretion depends on the half life of the drug.
The half life of the time when the drug concentration is the blood is metabolised and reduced to half of the serum levels.
Now the drug xanax has half life of about 11 hrs that means after every 11 hrs it is reduced to half the serum concentration.Now if you take xanax now then it will required four or five half lives that is 11 multiplied by 4 and it comes to 44 hrs.Your body will almost completely metabolise it in about 44hrs or two days.
Similarly in case of oxycodone it has half life of about 4 hrs and it may take 4 multiplied by four which comes around 16 hrs.So it will be completely metabolised in body in about 16 to 24 hrs.
