my husband has been diagnosed with stomach cancer, the cancer also has spread to his liver. we are currently waiting on results (CT scan) to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else. Today he is getting sharp pains in the lower right side of his stomach, should I take him to the hospital?

my husband has just recently been diagnosed (last week) and treatment has been offered as yet. We will be seeing a specialist Tuesday to find out what the status of the cancer is and what procedures need to be taken.

The stomach tumor can grow through the stomach's outer layer into nearby organs, such as the pancreas, esophagus, or intestine.Stomach cancer cells can spread through the blood to the liver, lungs, and other organs.Cancer cells also can spread through the lymphatic system to lymph nodes all over the body.

As your husband is getting sharp abdominal pains,I advice you to take him to the ER for the necessary treatment accordingly. Injectable medications may be required.
