I am having pains in my neck area, a tingling sensation in my back, and a severe cracking noise when I turn my head. My neck feels weak.

Do you have tingling that goes into the shoulders or the arms?Do you know what exactly your MRI showed?
I did have tingling in my arms and hands but it did subside. My MRI was looked at 2 weeks ago, but no one has called me about the results.
OK.Well, certainly getting the actual results would be helpful here. This can be done by calling the place that actually did the MRI, and requesting the report be sent to you (not just your doctor). Or you can call your doctor's office. The creaking you hear is somewhat characteristic of arthritis of the neck, and this can be a cause of pain in the neck. The tingling in the arms and hands could have been from temporary irritation / inflammation of the nerves in the neck, from a "pinched" nerve. So while this could be a temporary irritation, or from something more serious like a bulging/herniated disc "pinching" a nerve -- the MRI results will help your doctors out the best in evaluating this condition.
