I experienced a sharp pain (not burning) in my urethra during urination for three days. The pain stopped after that, and has not come back in the five months since. There were no other STD symptoms - i.e. discharge, lesions, warts, etc., on my penis or in my urethra. I had had three episodes of unprotected sex with my girlfriend (our first and only time not using a condom) about three weeks prior. During the days when I had pain during urination, my urine was yellow and I was urinating less often than normal, and when I did urinate, there was much less than normal. It seemed that once I hydrated, and my urine was clear again, the pain was gone. I was wondering if I'm OK since the pain has never returned? What could it have been? Thanks.

nothing to be worried about. that must be a transient bacterial infection which got clear. if overly concerned get urine analysis and prostate exam.
