I have been having light brown and red bleeding with clots for two weeks, during this time I have been due for my period but it is usually heavy and much more pronounced with cramps back ache etc. and only lasts a week. I went off of birth control 2 months ago but my last period was normal. Is this serious or is it a side affect of leaving the pill? Should I see my doctor?
Gender: FemaleAge: 19
Period irregularities can happen after stopping the birth control pills even though that you had a normal cycle last month after stopping the pills as well. It may take a few months for the effects of the pills to completely wane off. Therefore it is not something a great deal to worry about. If, however your bleeding persists or you start having heavy bleeding then the best thing to do would be to visit your OB/GYN. Regards
