I have been taking Wellbutrin and Phentermine for 8 week. Initially, the only side effects that I experienced were some jitters, dry mouth and taste changes. I am almost at my weight loss goal under this treatment. For the past two weeks I have had a constant headache. The pain is almost exclusively in my forehead. It is severe enough to keep me from sleeping and wake me in the night. Becuase I also have sinus issues due to allergies, I do not know whether the recent onset of the headache s due to the drug protocol or environmental factors. Can you advise?
Gender: FemaleAge: 48 Already Tried: Excedrin, Imitrex, hot compresses, ice bags, sinus medication, neck and head massage.
DearCustomer <br /> Hello. The cause of your headache may be frontal sinusitis,Temporal arteritis headaches will also present like this ,as also Cluster headaches. The other causes possible would be mild hypoglycaemia due to dieting. If the headache would be due to the Wellbutrin or Phentermine, you would probably have had the headache earlier, unless you have increased the dose recently.I would suggest local decongestant drops like Otrivin and analgesics like Naproxen or Tylenol. The dfood intake may be increased to prevent hypoglycaemia. You may need to have aphysical check up and review of your drugs by your doctor if the problem persists. You may like to discuss these points with your doctor. You may try Monteleukast for your sinus allergies.Vakul Aren40040.5830941782
Will there be any additional drug interactions if I use sudafed or nasonex for the sinus condition? Also, is there any reason to immediately stop the Wellbutrin or Phentermine? My regular doctor is out of town until the end of the week.
I would prefer local decongestant drops to oral decondestants as oral drugs may cause Tachycardia and other side effects like raised blood pressure and you are already on Phentermine which has similar side effects.A trial by stopping the Wellbutrin and Phentermine may tell you if the headache is due to these drugs.
