I have been having moderate - severe pain in my sternum closest to my upper digestive tract and in my back between my shoulder blades at times. The pain is paralelled by pressure and fullness. I often can't swallow food or liquids very easily, and it's as if the food/liquid becomes temporarily traped in my esopagus before entering my stomach. I have frequent and unproductive BMs. I am 24 years old, Female, not allergic to any meds by my knowledge - with a history of supraventrical tachycardia, and I have had pnuemonia 2x in the past 2 years. I was having reoccurent UTIs and was recently taken off Cipro antibiotics. The doctors office messed up and filled this Cipro prescription for me by mistake somehow and the doctor said he couldnt find any reason I had been given them, so asked me to stop treatment yesterday after I came in due to extreme naseua after riding my bicycle. I have been having digestive issues before the Cipro, and was given sample packs of Protonix about a month ago..
Gender: FemaleAge: 24 Already Tried: Protonix Prilosec OTC (just started taking) No burning acid reflux feelings associated with my pains, however I have had painful BMS and upper/lower abdominal discomfort. At times I feel it in my sides too.
with difficulty swallowing you need barium swallow and endoscopy to identify the cause. get tested for h pylori infection and food allergy for intolerance. continue taking prilosec otc or protonix to reduce acid production. please see a stomach doctor.
