I have been diagnosed CLL, Stage 0. Now my white count has jumped from 13.4 to 21--I don't have any enlarged lymph nodes that I can tell. I am told that at this stage it is watch and wait. Is there anything I can do at this stage? I seem to be tired, but that could be my age (87). I am very active and most people cannot believe I am as old as I am. I pass as in my 70s. I have been, until recently, a licensed pilot and I drive (very well) a 2008 red Corvette! I am having knee problems (one has been replaced) and I question whether I should undergo replacement of the other one with this diagnosis.
Gender: FemaleAge: 87State/Country: Iowa Already Tried: Nothing, because I am told there is nothing to do at this stage.
at this point the recommendation are to wait n watch based on the clinical information provided and your age. i would recommend against knee replacement unless you are in so much pain and can't walk without it. since you mentioned you are fairly active and have a good quality of life.. i would recommend that you avoid unnecessary intervention at this time.
