no fever. no running nose no cough. swelling only in right nostril. no history of allergy or sinusitis. no nasal congestion. pain for two days. no sore throat
Is the swelling present on the skin of the nose ?Is there any inflammation of the nasal mucosa ?
there is swelling seen on the skin of the nose. there is swelling in the the right nostil in the form of a bump. it does not cover the whole area of the right nostril.
Is there any associated localised redness ?
Any white spots ?
Pus collection ?
Duration of symptoms ?
Size of bump ?
yes redness on the bump the bump is very small appears to have reached the pus stage and there is white spot on the bump and, the bump has hardend
As such this seems to be a small boil on your nostril .
Your doctor may prescribe an oral antibiotic as well especially since there is associated pus .
Vitamin C should be helpful for early healing .
Apply a topical antiseptic such as povidone iodine to the boil and cover with a square of gauze
