i started having a snapping of tendons near my elbows then the joints started getting sore and swelling. I have told it is probably tendonitis. I am not so sure now. Now I have a snapping in my neck when I have my arms up like washing my hair. Any ideas? I have concerns that since I had a brain tumor and cranial nerve damage that I might be suseptible to other neurological conditions. Is genetic testing a good thing to have done?
Optional Information: Gender: FemaleAge: 50State/Country: Nebraska Already Tried: I have brought my symptoms to my physician and the chiropractor I see since bones are kind of his thing. Tendonitis is what my dr said and to keep track of things from the other dr. There are some new symptoms that have not yet been told to my physician. One is the clicking that started in my neck. I also have noticed my right leg doesn't always move right when I walk. I have had some muscle spasms or twitches in my arms, legs, torso, face and throat.
What is your age and sex? When did you have the brain tumor? Were you operated or recieved radiotherapy?
i had a brain tumor in the cerebellum area and the cranial nerves were damaged there. the tumor was removed 12-30-98 by surgery and was not cancerous so no kemo or radiation was needed

All your symptoms are generalised and do not suggest a particular disease. Moreover, they are not neurological symptoms. So they are not related to the original brain tumor. You should not worry about this. They are more related to orthopedics or musculo-skeletal. You should consult an Orthopedician for this. Alternatively, you can also consult a Rheumatologist for this.To some extent, you may also be having anxiety/stress and you can discuss this with your doctor and whether you need to take anti-anxiety drugs.I hope my answer has helped you. i must not be relaying all my thoughts. I am not concerned about the brain tumor issue i know that is gone. i concern about those damaged nerves possibly deteriorating more and causing other neurological issues for me. Since I have not been able to work my life is really anything but stressing. I don't think stress and anxiety are really an issue for me.
I understand your concerns.I was trying to address them. What I tried to tell you is that your present symptoms are not neurological, hence they are not related to decaying nerves.Hence these symptoms cannot be related to the nerves in any way.Instead, they are musculo skeletal symptoms and you should consult an Orthopedician or a rheumatologist.I hope my answer has helped you.
