Have you had a MRI of the brain and spine?Have you seen a neurologist?
i had the MRI of the brain but not the spine. i'm seeing neurologist every 3 to 6 months. i'm going to be seeing him in 2 weeks. the MRI result was normal
Well, given that you have a lot of symptoms that could be attributed to the spine, like the back pain, numbness, tingling in the arms, it could be worth getting that MRI if your neurologist feels it is worthwhile.Unfortunately, a neurologist is the best person to evaluate your conditions, and I would ask if your symptoms could be originating from a spinal issue rather than the brain.
how will i know that. i remember doing the x-ray every part of my back but the doctor told me it was normal. my neurologist told me my back is really bent that's all he told me.
An xray only takes a picture of the bones. A MRI is better for looking at the spinal cord and the nerves themselves.
i had it done through emergency room because i have medi-cal insurance. i'm not sure if i could get an MRI done of the spine. what about my headaches. what's causing them??
It would be impossible for someone on the Internet to know, especially so if your doctors who can examine you in person are having difficulty with it. That would be a great question to ask your doctors when you see them.
can thyroid or diabetes cause numbness and tingling hands and feet??
is that the only thing i ask for MRI of the spine. is there something else my doctor should test me for??
Besides that, really their testing should be based upon the neurologic exam, and so it's really hard to say.
if i have a spine problem, can that cause headache?? and tingling feet and hands.
It can cause tingling feet and hands, and contribute to a headache.
i have a stiff neck also. is that all related to spine??
Yes, it can.
is there any more question that i should ask my doctor rather than the MRI of the spine?? any suggestion?? i feel hopeless trying to find an answer. every test i did was normal. i want my doctor to know that something is going on. and how painful it is to dealt with everyday. i don't want to live rest of my life with this pain. please help me what can i ask my doctor. how can i convince to ask my doctor
What is causing my headaches? Is a MRI of the spine helpful in this evaluation? What other blood tests would be helpful?Would other tests (like an EMG) help to determine what is causing the numbness and pain in my hands / feet?
