Hi! I am 33 years old female and recently went on a hair loss

Customer Question

Hi! I am 33 years old female and recently went on a hair loss programme and was given 2% minoxidil initially to apply on scalp, but within 3 weeks from using this product I developed rashes and have completely stopped and not used this product for more than 2 months now. But the skin on my face has wrinkled, haggard with absolutely no elasticity in it all and the skin has taken a pock marked texture all over the face, my forehead looks slightly bloated with lot of wrinkles, black rings under my eyes and wrinkles, enlarged pores, swelling and puffiness of my face. The affects on my face makes me look much older than my age, when prior to using this product I was always complimented for looking 8-9 years younger than my age. The facial hair has also increased and I have also noticed I have more moles now on my face. I am of Indian background and the colour of skin has darkened as well. Please Help. I need answer desperately. Thank You

Hello liagba,

Wlcome to just Answer.

I am so terrily sorry that you are having to suffer this, it is the ultimate nightmare for a female.

Well I really do suggest that you visit your doctor because you need I think either a steroid cream or steroid tablet or both.

There is nothing unfortumately that you can do yourself to make this better and the longer you leave it the harder it will be to get under control.

In the meantime, use only unscented products on your hair and skin. Something like E45 dermatological face wash would be good, and a simple or baby shampoo.

If your GP cannot offer any suggestions you will need to ask for a referral to a dermatologist who is the most likely person to be able to offer you help.

I do hope this helps you and I hope you get the help you need very soon.

Wicth my very best wishes

Mel.
