When I work up this morning I thought I must have bitten my tongue on the right back sometime during the night. then my tongue started swelling, more on the right side than left and it is a little uncomfortable but not bad. it is harder to talk. It has been 3 hrs and it hasn't changed dramatically, just has swollen a little more and a little more. Seems to have stopped now. This isn't inferring with my breathing or swallowing. It is affecting my right eye a little, kind of like going to the dentist. I also notice some swelling under my chin.

Medications, infections, injuries can also cause similar symptoms.

If you sre certain there is no obstruction to your airway just keep an eye on it for now and perhaps suck some ice cubes. When you go to bed tonight be sure to sleep with your head raised prop[ped up with pillows behind your neck and shoulders. This will prevent extra swelling which could be caused by being flat.

I would strongly advise you so see your doctor though.

I do hope it is better very soon

With my very best wishes

Mel.

This is very strange. The good thing is that it is resolving on its own. I didn't mention that I have no other, fever, sores, digestive sysmptoms, muscle aches etc.

Thank you for your advice.
That is good, thank you for telling me that. I would still suggest you suck some ice though and sleep propped up just for tonight.
