Customer Question

I have slurred speech and at times I can talk fine and at other times I have a deep breathy voice. i do not drink or take illegal drugs.   I looked to see if my breathlessness could be causing the bad speech.......

Optional Information:
Gender: Female
Age: 63
State/Country: Washington

Already Tried:
they said I had Parkinsonism
that was not true
they said I had a stroke
nobody but an ENT thought this but that is what I think
now they say I have severe lung disease but I have no pain or wheezing although I do have shortness of breath.

Hello,

How long are you having this?

Did you have any test or treatment?

Did you have any other symptom or previous illness?

What is your age?

Thank you.

Customer replied 1025 days ago.

I have had this since Jan.... at which time I got slow, and mentally forgetful

I had an MRI which showed a few capillaries broken but the report was no stroke.

I did not have previous symptoms

I am 63

Thank you for the information,

The slurred speech can be caused by different factors like alcohol, drug which you are not having.

When you have developed the symptoms recently , you need to have a thorough examination.

When you became slow & forgetful , brain cause needs to be excluded first .

Breathlessness can cause interruption of speech which may simulate slurring when there is episode of breathlessness.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Please ask if you need any clarification.

Best wishes.
