Greetings.

The most likely reason for this numbness is pinched nerves in the back due to herniated disc disease. Usually it does gets back to normal in couple of days on its own by rest and not exerting yourself. If this persists, you will need an orthopedic spine specialist or a neurosurgeon to consult. You may need following investigations to confirm the diagnosis;

1) MRI of the back

2) Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) study

Meanwhile you can take multivitamins and multimineral supplements with the Back care in the activities of daily living;

a) Avoid activities which increases the numbness.

b) Rest intermittently

c) Avoid bending at 90 degrees

d) Pushing and pulling should be avoided till numbness subsides

f) Avoid prolonged sitting and standing

g) Avoid sitting or sleeping on floor

Please feel free for your follow up questions.
