Brain aneurysm occur as a congenital (present from before birth) defect or may develop later in life due to weakened by disease, injury or an anomaly present at birth. Most of the times aneurysms occur without any apparent cause.
If a brain aneurysm presses on nerves in your brain, it can cause signs and symptoms. These can include:a droopy eyelid, double vision or other changes in vision, pain above or behind the eye,a dilated pupil, numbness or weakness on one side of the face or body.

None of your symptom suggest that you are having brain aneurysm. Most likely this is due to migraine attack. It is a form of vascular headache and is by high stress periods, hormonal changes, irregular sleep, food habits, bad lifestyles etc..There can be various triggering agents.Another possibility is of that it can be mixed tension migraine that is a headache with features of both tension(stress)and migraine headaches.Stress is an important causative factor of such headaches.

I advice you to see your neurologist regarding this for the prescription medications.

ok and i sometimes get the sensation of pins/needles poking me in my arms and hands as well as legs and feet.i have also been told that because im a migraine sufferer that i may not notice a "worst headache of my life"symptom.cause they say when a aneurysm ruptures you experience the "worst headache of your life" due to me having sum horrible headaches/migraines..is it true that the only time a aneurysm causes pain/headaches is when it ruptures? i've also been told that........and if i did have a ruptured aneurysm would it cause me the same symptons for 8-10 days straight?and last if it was an aneurysm would it come and go,and be relieved by maxalt?thanks so much for accepting my replies i know i have alot of questions im just scared (but i promise ya if u just answer my replies i will leave u a wonderful bonus) oh yea the pins/needles sensation has jus started recently and its also in my back and shoulders.

Currently no one can predict which aneurysms will rupture.Aneurysms usually cause no symptoms unless they rupture and cause bleeding into the brain and yes ruptured aneurysm can cause sudden occurrence of a severe headache (described as ‘the worst in patient's experience', ‘bolt from the blue'). Yes,it is true that the only time a aneurysm causes pain/headaches is when it ruptures, other wise it remains silent. And it doesnot cause symptoms for so long that is 8-10 days. The headache & other symptoms lasts for short duration. Maxalt is used to treat migraine headaches. It cannot provide relief in aneurysm in any way.

The pin and needle sensation caed numbness you are having can have all kinds of different causes, as it is a symptom of many different diseases.

It usually arises from damage or disease of nerves. Its most common causes are:nerve compression syndromes, pressure on the spinal nerves such as that due to a herniated disk, high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, stroke, transient ischemic attack. Also this can be due to :Underactive thyroid, abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body, lack of vitamin B12,certain medications.

The underlying cause of numbness or tingling should be identified and then treated by your doctor.Tests like electromyography and nerve conduction studies, certain blood tests, electro physiological studies are required to make the exact diagnosis.I suggest you to make an appointment with a neurologist to know the exact cause & hence its treatment.

Yes,definately;both the headache & pins & needle sensation called numbness or tingling is not the symptom of aneurysm. These are most likely because of the causes,I have listed above.

OK DO MY SYMPTOMS SOUND LIKE A STROKE? CAUSE ABOUT 5-6 DAYS AGO BOTH MY LEGS FROM KNEES DOWN START TO FEEL ACHY/TIRED/WEAK FEELING AND BOTH ARMS.

Picture

These symptoms of ache/pain/tiredness/weakness in legs or arms doesnot sound of stroke. The only symptom that directs towards stroke is the pin& needle sensation called numbness. The excat diagnosis can be made only after CT scan. Other then this none of your symptom suggest of stroke.

So I conclude that none of your symptom suggest of brain aneurysm. Although I am sorry to say that your grandfather passed away from a aneurysm, but this should not terrify you.
I advice you to be rela....X(relax)& dont take stress.
