my husband was in the hospital with a level 3 lacerated spleen for 3 weeks and now he has been home for 3 weeks, he can get out of bed now but he still is not allowed to lift anything or leave the house, nurses come 2x a week to take his blood and he goes to the hospital via ambulance to do cat scans 1x every week. My question is IF he were to drink alcohol, would it affect his spleen in some way from continuig to heal?
Gender: MaleAge: 38State/Country: California Already Tried: nothing. Dr. has been advising us every week that , spleen is moving forward on healing. his hemo.... ( cant pronounce the word) count is getting higher just very slow , it's at 13.2 right now and was at 11.8 when they released him.
Greetings.
A 20-40 ml alcohol drink may not hinder in the healing. More than that regularly may decrease the immunity and thus the healing.

thank you. he drank more than that last night, but from what I gather, as long he doesnt do it "consistant" then he should be fine. I've cut him off, so I know he wont be doing it for at least another month. thank you again
