How long should swelling last after a dental implant and should

Resolved Question:

How long should swelling last after a dental implant and should a dental implant be performed if swelling existed before the implant occurred?

A swelling after a dental implant resolves in 5 - 7 days.

To help decrease the swelling warm compresses, local pain relief medication and oral anti inflammatory agents would help.

If the swelling is there before the procedure there are two options -
1. defer the procedure till the swelling subsides.
2. do the procedure under antibiotic and pain relief cover.
