A fresh blood in stools is a bleeding from the lower part of the intestine, commonly an internal hemorrhoid.

This can also be from hard stools that brush against the intestinal mucosa to cause bleeding.

Diet modifications like drinking lots of fluids and including more fibers and also having easy to digest foods will help form soft stools that would avoid abrasion of the anal mucosa by hard stools and stop the bleeding.

For now, you can try and stop the bleeding by :-

Cleaning the anal area with moist toilettes or clean wet toilet paper. Dry toilet paper will irritate the area and should be avoided.

Compressing with ice packs. This should stop the bleeding. If these measures do not help with the bleeding, you will need to see a doctor for further medical management.

Please see a doctor for an examination and a stool test, that should be able to confirm a hemorrhoids or look for other possible causes like a mass / growth in the large intestine that can cause a fresh bleed.
