had pain in the area where my hernia on Sunday - had blood in the urine with some clots then it went away. Came back today. I feel OK.

As such in some cases kidney stone or ureteric stone can cause pain in the inguinal region .
So it is essential to undergo an ultrasound examination to rule out kidney stone .
Also in some cases X-Ray KUB may also be required.
Also a urine routine examination may also be required as well .
I hope this helps
