Thank you for the information,

There are various causes of vertigo.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is the most common form of vertigo and is characterized by the sensation of motion by sudden head movements .

It may also be due to the disturbances of blood supply when you suddenly move your head or when you get up or lie down.

It can be due to inner ear inflammation or labyrinthitis, acoustic neuroma, Meniere's disease, cerebellar disease of the brain, multiple sclerosis etc.

Trauma to the head , migraine can also cause vertigo.

You need to have it investigated by consulting doctor to find out the exact cause of it.

Treatment of the cause will cure it .

In other cases symptomatic treatment is used & duration of vertigo will vary.

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy or particle repositioning maneuvers are also used.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Please ask if you need any clarification.

Best wishes.

i had various tests i e following doctors finger and touching my nose etc he seemed ok with this

I feel you did finger nose test which is used to determine the function of the cerebellum of brain.

It is a good news that the brain function is ok & not causing the vertigo which is more difficult..

Ear problems can improve spontaneously on their own.
