Expert's Answer

Dear R. van Hook,

thankyou for the information!

The tylenol contains acetaminophen and is not a good analgesic though it is a good antipyretic.Since your pain is not releived by it you can take other NSAID pain killers like diclofenac, ibuprofen, etc. which are slightly better in controlling pain. You can get these as OTC medicines from a nearby pharmacy shop.

The more powerful pain killers are opioid analgesics like tramadol, vicodin, morphine, etc. for pain which is very severe not controlled by regular analgesics. You will need prescription by a doctor for geetting these opioid analgesics.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you!

Accepted Answer

Dear R. Van Hook,

The pain management technque is usually used to control the pain due to such scar tissue. The scar tissue can also be treated surgically with the help of myofascial release technique. You should consult a plastic surgeon for that.

Though the scars older than 12 weeks respond less but for the control of severe pain, the surgery might be helpful to you in some way.
