Pain above belly button when coughing

how bad is the pain.. did you see a doctor for it.. your age and medical problem list.. any nausea, vomiting, diarrha or constipation

No nausea, vomiting or other symptoms. Have not seen my dr. yet.

well if it is just happening with coughing with no other symptoms it is likely to be musculoskeletal from excessive coughing. coughing will cause pull on the abdominal muscles . you need to take mucinex upto 1200 mg twice a day to control cough. also can take pain medicine like tylenol for it. once the cough settles it will improve. if it gets worst see your doctor.
