do you mean Eustachian Tube Dysfunction?
with best regards,
Do you have any dulled hearing / or tinnitus?
Your symptoms have been studied and i feel that the air travel has augmented the problem. Usually the symptoms fade out by themselves but in certain cases where there is bothersome symptoms the following method called Valsalva manoeuvre is adopted - You take a deep breath and before exhaling close your mouth and pinch yoyr nose and try to blow out the air. This makes the air to pass towards the middle ear to release the pressure and you can make out a popping sound or a gush of air thus releasing the block.
In some cases the drugs like antihistamines used for Cold and allergy do help in releasing the inflammation which caused the blockage. If the nasal congestion is high and bothersome you can try using nasal decongestents which will also help in clearing the blockage. But ensure that you dont use the sprays more than 5 to 6 times a day.
If the efforts do not help and you are unable to get it cleared then seeing an ENT specialist would be advised by me to get enlightened on the underlying cause.
