Thank you for the information,
Nasal bleeding is called epistaxis
Most cases of nose bleeding is harmless though it is quite frightening,
There are several causes of bleeding from nose like cold, allergy, irritation, nasal pricking ,nasal polyp, foreign body., respiratory infection.
High blood pressure may also lead to nasal bleeding.
The bleeding site or blood vessels gets blocked by the blood clot initially.
This will slowly organise to form clots over the next few days as you see with any skin cut ,
But the most important part is to prevent recurrence by treating the cause.
Important is not to poke it with any thing.
You needs to consult a doctor preferably an ENT doctor if you are having recurrent bleeding.
This resource will provide some tips for home management during a bleed. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003106.htm
I hope this information will be helpful.
Please ask if you need any clarification.
