At night when sleeping; my eyes seem to have a black shutter

Resolved Question:

At night when sleeping; my eyes seem to have a black shutter that closes; for a moment it scares me - like "it's lights out" death! It is scary.

This is a panc reaction that you are describing. If the feeling of 'lights out' pass off in the next few seconds, then there is no need to worry. But if the feeling persists, then you need to consult a psychologist to give you therapy to help overcome this problem and if need be to start you on medicines.
