Do you have diabetes? Are you on any medications? How many times are you getting up in night time in last couple of days? Do you have any urinary burning, urgency, poor stream of urine?

Any significant past medical / surgical history? Any important family history?

No diabetes. i am on one cholesterol medication Gemfibrozil. Two nights ago I got up twice. Last night I got up three times. No burning, but sometimes after I urinate there is slight irritation near the tip for a while. Stool is looser than usual. no poor stream. urine is a little sudsy. no past medical history or family history. never had this problem before.

This is very likely to be urinary tract infection. A cause in males should be ascertained. Day night increased frequency, urine appearance changing, irritation at the tip, all point out to UTI. Getting a urine examination and a urine culture is the first step. A course of antibiotics would be needed for the treatment. Prostate examination to rule out prostatitis is an essential part of the work up. Any history of unsafe sex would warrant a urethral swab (culture) to look for the urethritis (specific urethritis or non specific urethritis).
