14 weeks pregnant..lower lip..inflamed or red, rather whitish in color

Customer Question

I am 14 weeks pregnant. I have 2 small holes, about an eighth of an inch in diameter each, on the inside of my inner lower lip. They look almost like puncture wounds, they are not inflamed or red, rather whitish in color. They are painful. What are they, where do they come from and what should I do to fix it?

It sounds like candida, a yeast infection. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away 48 hours (2 days) see your doctor for a swish and spit medication that will cure it. There is no harm to the pregnancy
