what is narrowing of the colon, and how should it be treated

Resolved Question:

Narrowing of the colon is not , in itself , a diagnosis as there are many causes.

Can you tell me about the patient and what investigations they have had already?

My doctor suggested fixing the hernia, and then they can check my colon for any

mass or other issues that may exists.

Sorry your additional info was not available to me when I posted.

If you have a stricture ( a narrowing of the colon) the treatment will be surgical - I expect that your surgeon will be keen to remove the affected portion of colon both to remove the stricture and also to exclude a tumor.
