Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question. An IVP is an intravenous pyelogram. It's a series of xrays of the whole urinary system including the kidneys with contrast dye to look for tumors, abnormalities, stones, obstructions, and to check on renal blood flow. Tomography is xrays that would help to visualize masses, tiny stones, etc.
