Hello,
Greetings.

Is there any swelling of the toe? Which toe is affetcted? Do you have arthritis of other joints? Previously did you have any blood clot in any place?

Thank you for the input.

The swelling and the pain is most probably due to some inflammation of the toe. It is either due to arthritis or infection in the toe. Blood clot is unlikely, usually it appears as bluish discoloration and cold.
It should be checked by doctor examination and treatment.

Hope your early recovery.
