my blood pressure is inconsistent..

one day i take my pressure and it is ok, next time it is high. should i worry or call the dr? I just started for about a month, taking lipitorn 10mg because my chlestoral was high. this is the first time i have taken medication. I am 71 years old and "seem" healthy, i eat right, exercise do not smoke or drink to excess. since taking the medication i feel tired and sometimes my heart rate seems to go up. i still exercise and watch what i eat.
