My 26 yr old son stubbed his small toe 3-4 weeks ago. We assumed it would heal itself. It hasn't. The toe still hurt when wearing shoes, and is really crooked. can there be something done for this?
If it still hurts, and looks deformed to you, you probably should have it examined by a doctor, who can take a simple xray to look at the bones in the foot.

It would be unusual for a simple "stub" of the toe to have continued pain this far out after injury, so your doctor will have to make sure there isn't a small dislocation or fracture there in the foot. It could also be "turf toe", where the joint capsule in the toe has become torn and painful.

But again, the best way to figure this out is with an exam and xray.
