Mucus & blood in stool with lower abdominal pain can be due to infection in the gastrointestinal tract , ulcerative colitis , crohns disease. Other causes like hemorrhoids, polyps, colon cancer should also be considered in diagnosis.
This is a symptom that should not be ignored. Please consult a physician for evaluation, accurate diagnosis & treatment. Evaluation may include stool exam, blood work & colonoscopy.
