Hello

From how long you have this pain & numbness?

Is there back pain also?

Any history of injury?

1 WEEK NO BACK PAIN AND NO INJURY
Expert:  Dr. Charles replied 8 years ago.

This suggests the possibility of nerve root compression like compression of sciatic nerve.Sciatica is generally caused by the compression of lumbar nerves L4 or L5 or sacral nerves. Any compromise of the nerve space in the spinal column can lead to compression of the nerve endings. This occurs because of lumbar radiculopathy, spinal disc herniation, wear and tear or degeneration of the discs. This leads to pain & numbness.

You need CT scan or MRI of spine,EMG,nerve conduction studies. The goal of treatment is relief of pain and prevention of permanent spinal cord and nerve root injury. So I advice you to see your doctor for this.
