it takes for the blood to rid any traces of marijuana

Resolved Question:

Dr. Mark: Please advise how long it takes for the blood to rid any traces of marijuana and if drinking lots of water would help? Thank you.

The time depends on if you are someone who uses marijuana occasionally, or regularly.

The occasional user will pass a routine blood test 3 days after use. If a zero-tolerance test is used then the blood will stay positive longer, about 10 days.

For the regular user, the marijuana stays in the system longer. A routine test will be positive up to 10 days; a zero-tolerance test will be positive up to 14 days after use.

There is nothing you can do to speed up this process, and drinking lots of water will not help speed up the process.
