What is risperdol, zoloft, wellbutrin, tradazone, and ...

This answer was rated:

What is risperdol, zoloft, wellbutrin, tradazone, and hydroxyine? My neighbor Arijn has been suffering from PTSD and are these mood enhancers? He was prescribed all of these drugs - is it safe? What are the effects of all of these prescriptions combined?

These are mood enhancers. Risperidone is an antipsychotic drug. Hydroxyzine is an anti-anxiety sedative drug & all others are different classes of anti-depressants. These drugs may be helpful in a severe case of PTSD.
The combined use of these drugs can precipitate serotonin syndrome, increased risk of seizures & respiratory depression .
It is important that a close follow-up be kept with your doctor to monitor for possible drug interactions & side effects.
