HelloCustomer

Thank you for asking in justanswer.com
Your squeaking could be due to arthritis in your cervical spine. When arthritic changes occur there, they press the nerves ( nerves for arm and hands comes from cervical spine) and then tingling occurs. Also are possible numbness, loss of sensation, pain etc. which comes at the later stages. Usually the first signs comes from the most distant parts from the spine ( your hands in the case). You need to consult with neurologists, for he/she would choose the best strategy for treatment.

can this be fixed or is it something I will have to live with forever?

Sorry I'm answering so late to your second question.
Sometimes spinal RA may recover fully , in other cases it will go through partial recovery, and id third cases it will progress. How it will develop cannot be told - there is no method to predict it.
