This answer was rated:

my brain MRI showed scattered T2 and FLAIR hyperintensities within the bilateral frontal lobes. What can this indicate?

These tests can't be properly interpretated without knowing the signs and symptoms you had ( this counts for 99% of tests). Would be more specific about your symptoms? What were your complaints?

onset of ocular migraines and dizziness with disorientation, tingly arms and fingertips, light-headedness

when can i expect an answer?

I can help you with your MRI report.

Please let me know what else the report contains.

Does it mention any findinf in the T1 and Diffusion MRI images ?

Does your report mention the size of the T2 / FLAIR hyperdensities ?

Please let me know,

No,sorry, there was no mention of T1 or diffusion (unless the word "scattered" applies) or the size of the T2 hyperdensities. It said that everything else looked normal for my age, except the frontal lobe indications I mentioned.

Are hyperdensities indications of strokes?

Thanks for your help.

These scattered hyperdensities are most probably non specific findings.

As there is no mention of T1 and Diffusion images, (which is a must to diagnose a Stroke)I think these scattered hyperdensities were mentioned as they were incidental findings and do not mean anything really.

Please be at peace. If these were due to stroke, there would be a definite mention about their charecteristic on T1, Diffusion and ADC (Attenuated Diffusion Coefficient) images.

These are just incidental findings and you need not worry about them.

I hope this answers your question.

I have seen online that these results can indicate the onset of a rare disease called cadasil. this has me frightened since my dizziness, and disorientation lasting several hours, and onset on ocular migraine seem to be the most likely first signs. No one in my family has died young from a stroke, but alzheimer's does run on my mother's side.

Any thoughts on this or indications that this is barking up the wrong alley?

You need charecterisics on other MRI sequences to get to a diagnosis.

Just T1 and FLAIR images do not really mean anything.

Please do not get worked up about what you find on the internet.

If you really want to research on your symptoms,
you need to corelate findings on other sequences to really get to the bottom of this.

I hope this answers your question.
