My thumb, pointer and middle finger fall asleep very easily. What could this be caused by?

This is very likely to be carpal tunnel syndrome. This occurs when the median nerve which supplies the lateral fingers of the hand, that is, the thumb, index and middle finger, gets trapped in its tunnel. It is usually associated with pain, numbness and/or tingling of the fingers.
