Constant coughing with no congestion. Throat irritation due to hernia in esophagus. What can be done to relief irritation?

This may be due to acid reflux, due to the hiatus hernia. I would recommend a trial of antacids or anti-acid reflux therapy from your physician

The Vet said there was nothing buy cough medicine, I will try the anti acid that we take and if that works then I will accept. Thanks, Martha
